    DESCRIPTION:
    A vulnerability has been reported in Novell Open Enterprise Server,
    which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
    system.

    The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the
    "/opt/novell/iprint/bin/ipsmd" component in the processing of LPR
    opcode 0x01 packet types. This can be exploited to cause a
    stack-based buffer overflow by sending specially crafted packets to
    an affected system.

    Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

    SOLUTION:
    Restrict access to the affected service.
