Today, Novell has released an updated Novell Client for Windows. The Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows supports the following operating systems:

Windows 7 (x86 or x64) (Ultimate Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Professional Edition)
Windows Vista (x86 or x64) (Ultimate Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Business Edition)
Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) (Enterprise Edition, or Standard Edition)
Windows Server 2008 (x86 or x64) (Enterprise Edition, or Standard Edition)

I already downloaded Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows from shared http://filecraft.com search engine, but I didn't know about some disappointing details. Well, if it’s true that Novell will not be providing an XP Pro 64 bit client they are pretty much signing the death warrant for Novell at my shop. I don’t know if they realize that a lot of companies are remaining on the XP platform. My fellow admins at my shop think Novell is useless and this pretty much makes their case if I have to point my machines at the Windows servers to get what they need. Oh well, it’s been a nice 25 yr ride . . .
