Rove Inc., developer of network administration software that provides IT administrators mobile management of their IT systems and infrastructure, including Novell, today launched the latest version of its flagship product. Mobile Admin 4.2 introduces new functionality that enhances the software’s existing mobile administration capabilities.For the first time in the product’s history, Mobile Admin now includes IT infrastructure monitoring through the support of Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager 2007. In addition, the new version introduces support for Microsoft Systems Center Mobile Device Manager 2008, VMware Virtual Infrastructure and BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5. Audit logging, credential management, enhanced data routing and usability improvements are also included in this version.
Specific Novell administration features include searching for, viewing, editing, creating or deleting users, groups and organizational units, resetting passwords and changing password setting, and editing logon scripts.

Mike Keller of TriZetto, a California-based company providing software and IT services, deployed Mobile Admin 4.2 within his IT environment. “The addition of VMware Virtual Infrastructure support makes Mobile Admin 4.2 a must have,” he said when asked to describe his experiences using the software. “When I’m on call, it takes me 2 minutes to perform a task with Mobile Admin that would have taken 20 minutes on a laptop. It’s an all-around time saver.”
The launch of Mobile Admin 4.2 continues a successful year that has seen Rove experience its two most profitable financial quarters back-to-back.
