New Novell Certification Database

CertificationLet the Countdown begin....

Novell is updating the certification database to enhance your certification experience. Tests will load into the new database faster and with fewer errors. You will be able to see all your certification information in one place with the ability to publish portions of that data to a third-party of your choice.

You will also have the ability to create and post customer service incidents to Novell staff for review. We anticipate this transition will occur Fall, 2005. Please check the website listed below for updates.

The system will tack current certification and tests. Current is defined as:

* Certified Novell Administrator
o NetWare 5
o NetWare 6
* Certified Novell Engineer
o NetWare 5
o NetWare 6
* Master Certified Novell Engineer
* Certified Novell Instructor
* Novell Academic Instructor
* Novell Certified Linux Professional
* Novell Certified Linux Engineer
* Novell Certified Linux Engineer 9

Non-current certification will be listed in the new database with a designation of Legacy. the non-current certification keep your certified status, however, non-current certification will no longer be verified or supported by Novell. For details on the Legacy programs and a full list of features for the new database, please visit the Countdown website.

New Novell Certification Database

I guess progress is good, BUT....

Too bad Novell seems to have forgotten that they even had a Certified Directory Engineer certification. It doesn't even exist under Legacy???

With the effort and cost that was taken by the individual it seems that Novell would still giving reference to the CDE.

Out of all of the Novell courses the one involved with eDirectory Troubleshooting was the best. And it is also one of their highlight products and current products.

I guess this is a 637 inhibit move ....
